Boxing for Kids in Szczecin: Groups, Schedule and Prices
Groups for ages 6–9 and 10–15, classes six days a week in central Szczecin, a family pass from 199 zł per person and a free first session. Here are the details parents ask about.

You'll find boxing for kids in Szczecin at BKS Rocky, ul. Jagiellońska 67 — we run two age groups: Kids 6–9 and Junior 10–15. Classes take place Monday to Saturday, the family pass starts at 199 zł per person, and the first session is free. Below you'll find everything parents usually ask about: what a session looks like, who runs it, how much it costs and how to sign your child up.
Who it's for: Kids 6–9 and Junior 10–15
We split children by age, because a six-year-old and a fourteen-year-old need completely different training.
- Kids 6–9 — the foundation is movement through play: coordination, balance, spatial awareness and the first elements of a boxing stance. Lots of games and general fitness exercises, very little theory.
- Junior 10–15 — more technique: stance, footwork, basic punches, defence, pad work and bag work. Conditioning and supervised partner work are added gradually.
Your child doesn't need any sporting experience. They don't need to be "athletic" either — that's exactly what training changes. If your child is shy, it's all the more worth trying: in the group everyone works at their own pace and nobody is forced into anything.
What your child learns besides punching
Olympic boxing is a contact sport, but in the club what counts most is discipline and respect. Kids learn punctuality, control over their emotions, and the rule that you never use your strength outside the gym. For parents that often matters more than a perfect hook — and rightly so.
On top of that, regular training helps with:
- motor coordination and a sense of rhythm,
- posture and overall fitness,
- concentration — you have to remember and repeat a sequence,
- confidence that comes from a skill you've mastered, not from bragging.
What a kids' session looks like
Classes last 1.5 hours and follow a fixed, predictable structure. Children settle into it quickly.
- Warm-up — running, skipping rope, general fitness exercises, movement games (this part is longer for the youngest group).
- Technique — boxing stance, footwork, single punches and simple combinations, practised first "in the air", then on equipment.
- Equipment work — bags, pads with the coach, partner drills at a distance, with no punches to the head.
- Strength work and stretching — bodyweight exercises suited to the age group, finishing with calm stretching.
There is no sparring in the youngest group. With juniors, partner work is introduced gradually, in headgear and gloves, only when the coach decides the child is ready technically and emotionally — and always under supervision. It's a contact sport run safely, not a timed exchange of punches.
What to bring to the first session
- comfortable sportswear and a change of indoor shoes,
- a bottle of water,
- a towel,
- gloves and wraps — not needed at the start, club equipment is enough for the first few sessions. The coach will tell you what size to buy later on.
Kids' class schedule
The children's groups train on fixed days and times. You'll find the full plan for all groups in the training schedule.
| Day | Time | Group |
|---|---|---|
| Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 17:00 | Junior 10–15 |
| Tuesday, Thursday | 17:00 and 18:00 | Kids 6–9 |
| Saturday | 12:30 | Kids + junior |
The club is open Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 21:00 and on Saturday from 11:00 to 14:00. We're closed on Sundays.
These time slots make it easier to get here after school — kids' sessions start at 17:00 or 18:00, and the Saturday class at 12:30 is a good top-up if you miss one weekday session.
How much does boxing for kids cost in Szczecin
Kids and juniors use the family pass — the price shown is per person, so with two siblings you simply multiply it by two. Passes are valid for 30 days from purchase.
| Option | Price per person | Sessions per week |
|---|---|---|
| Family pass, 8 entries | 199 zł | approx. 2 times a week |
| Family pass, 12 entries | 225 zł | approx. 3 times a week |
| Family pass, 16 entries | 245 zł | approx. 4 times a week |
| Single session | 40 zł | one-off entry |
| First trial session | 0 zł | — |
For most children a sensible start is 8 entries, i.e. two sessions a week. If your child gets into the rhythm and wants more, you move up to 12 or 16 entries. You can check current rates for all passes — including adults' — in the price list.
Who runs the classes
The kids' and junior groups are led by Viacheslav Prokopchuk — head coach and founder of the club, Master of Sport of Ukraine, European Championship bronze medallist and an instructor certified by the Polish Boxing Association. He coaches both juniors and adults.
BKS Rocky also has Denis Grzesiak (Polish vice-champion at cadet level, two-time bronze medallist at the Polish Senior Championships), Vladyslav Ishchuk (professional boxer, bronze medallist of the Polish Championships and the Polish Cup) and Marcel Grabowski, a strength and conditioning coach who runs motor skills sessions on Saturdays at 11:00. You'll find profiles of the whole team on the Rocky Team coaches page.
This matters for one reason: BKS Rocky is a licensed boxing club (PZB), not a "fitness class with punchbags". If your child eventually wants to compete, we offer the full path here — from the first session to tournaments.
Getting here: central Szczecin, also from Prawobrzeże
The gym is at ul. Jagiellońska 67 in the centre of Szczecin, so it's an easy trip from both the left-bank districts and Prawobrzeże.
If you live in Prawobrzeże, the 18:00 sessions on Tuesday and Thursday or the Saturday group at 12:30 are a good option — you avoid the afternoon traffic. You'll find an exact map and travel options in the contact and directions section.
There's a changing room and shower available during training, and parents are welcome to stay and watch how the class runs — especially at the first session, when your child feels more confident knowing you're nearby.
How to book a free session for your child
The simplest way is this:
- Pick a slot from the schedule — the 6–9 group on Tuesday or Thursday, Junior on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
- Fill in the trial session form or call: +48 579 118 191 (the same number works on WhatsApp). You can also email info@bksrocky.pl.
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early so your child can get changed calmly and meet the coach.
- After the session, have a chat with the coach — he'll suggest which group suits your child and which pass makes sense to start with.
One note: boxing is a contact sport, so if your child has any health issues, a doctor decides whether they're fit to train. Tell the coach about anything that might be relevant.
The first session costs nothing and commits you to nothing — book a trial session and see how your child fits into the team.
Frequently asked questions
What's the minimum age to sign a child up for boxing?
At BKS Rocky we take children from the age of 6 into the 6–9 group, and from 10 into the Junior group (10–15). Readiness to work in a group also counts — the coach will assess this during the trial session.
Is boxing safe for a child?
There is no sparring in the 6–9 group — children work on pads, the bag and general fitness exercises. With juniors, partner work is introduced gradually, in headgear and gloves, only under the coach's supervision and only when the child is ready for it.
How much does boxing for kids cost in Szczecin?
The family pass at BKS Rocky costs 199 zł for 8 entries, 225 zł for 12 and 245 zł for 16 — always per person, valid for 30 days. A single session is 40 zł, and the first one is free.
Does my child need their own gloves to start?
No. For the first sessions, sportswear, a change of shoes and water are enough — club equipment is available on site. After a few classes the coach will advise which gloves and wraps to buy for regular training.
Can a child from Prawobrzeże make it to training after school?
Yes — sessions for the youngest start at 17:00 and 18:00 on Tuesday and Thursday, and the later slot lets you avoid the afternoon rush. Another option is the Saturday Kids + junior group at 12:30.
Can a parent stay during the session?
Yes, especially for the first classes. We only ask that you watch from the side and don't comment on the exercises — children focus better on the coach that way.
