Coach holding pads and a boxer during a one-to-one boxing session at BKS Rocky Szczecin

Personal boxing training in Szczecin is a one-to-one session with a coach in which the whole plan — warm-up, technique, pad work and conditioning — is built around your goal and your level. At BKS Rocky, ul. Jagiellońska 67, you book it by getting in touch first, and you find out the price when you arrange the date, because it isn't listed in the club's public price list. Below you'll find the specifics: who it makes sense for, what a session looks like and what really affects the cost.

Who personal boxing training is for

A one-to-one session isn't "better" than a group class — it's simply different. It works well when you need the coach's full attention for the whole session.

  • You're starting from scratch and feel unsure — you want to get your stance, punches and breathing right before stepping onto the floor with a group.
  • You're short on time and want fast progress — every technical mistake is corrected straight away, not weeks later.
  • You're training for fitness and weight — the plan can be tied to conditioning work and consistency.
  • You're coming back after a break or an injury — the load is chosen carefully, but whether you can train at all is a decision for your doctor.
  • You're preparing for competition or sparring — you need work on tactics, distance and a specific opponent.
  • Your hours are unusual — you work shifts and can't make the fixed group times.

If you're only just considering starting, have a look at our guide to boxing for beginners in Szczecin — many people start with a single one-to-one session and then join a group.

What a 1:1 session looks like, step by step

The structure is similar to a group session, but the pace and the emphasis are yours. A personal session lasts 60 minutes.

  1. A chat and your goal. The coach asks about your experience, your health, your weekly schedule and why you're here. That shapes the whole session.
  2. Warm-up. Skipping rope, joint mobility, footwork. Short but purposeful — your body needs to be ready for punches and changes of direction.
  3. Technique. Boxing stance, guard, movement, single punches, then simple combinations. Working 1:1, the coach sees every detail: your elbow, your hip, the hand coming back.
  4. Pads. The most important part of a one-to-one session. The coach "leads" you through combinations, forces you to react, and corrects your distance and rhythm.
  5. Bag and solo work. You consolidate what you've just fixed, at your own pace.
  6. Conditioning and strength. General fitness exercises chosen to match your goal — more emphasis on strength, endurance or mobility.
  7. Stretching and a wrap-up. The coach tells you what you're working on before next time and what you can practise on your own.

There's no sparring in your first sessions. Exchanging punches comes later and is matched to your level — technique and control first, a partner only after that.

Goals: technique, fitness, weight, competition

Technique from the ground up

The most common reason people choose one-to-one sessions. Just a few sessions usually help you stop thinking about where to put your foot and start training consciously.

Fitness and conditioning

Boxing training combines aerobic work with short bursts. How much energy you burn depends on your body weight, the intensity and how much time you spend moving rather than standing by the wall.

Losing weight

Training alone won't do it; what decides is your calorie balance, sleep and consistency. A personal session does help you keep the rhythm and the intensity, because someone is waiting for you at a set time. We don't promise kilograms — we promise a plan and consistency.

Competition and sparring

For ambitious amateurs and competitive boxers: fight analysis, tactics, work on distance, physical and mental preparation. BKS Rocky boxers compete regularly, and the club operates as a licensed boxing club of the Polish Boxing Association (PZB).

Personal trainers at BKS Rocky

One-to-one training is only as good as the person holding the pads. At Rocky Team, personal sessions are run by three coaches:

  • Denis Grzesiak — adult group and personal training; Polish youth vice-champion, two-time bronze medallist at the Polish senior championships.
  • Vladyslav Ishchuk — personal trainer, professional boxer, bronze medallist at the Polish Championships and the Polish Cup, holds a bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of Szczecin.
  • Marcel Grabowski — strength and conditioning and personal training, medical trainer, graduate of the Opole University of Technology. He also runs the Saturday strength and conditioning group at 11:00.

The head coach and founder of the club is Viacheslav Prokopchuk — Master of Sport of Ukraine, bronze medallist at the European Championships, PZB instructor; he coaches juniors and adults. Altogether, the club's coaching staff has over 20 years of coaching experience.

How much personal boxing training costs in Szczecin

The price of personal training at BKS Rocky isn't published in the price list — you'll find it out when you book, by phone or on WhatsApp.

The cost of personal training — in general, not just in boxing — usually depends on:

  • the number of sessions — a one-off session normally costs more than a session within a package,
  • the number of people — training as a pair or a three splits the cost between participants,
  • the scope — technique alone is one thing, competition preparation with fight analysis is a different amount of work,
  • equipment — your own gloves and wraps are usually bought only once training becomes regular.

For comparison, here are the prices that are public and fixed at the club:

Type of training Price
Single session 40 zł
Independent training in the gym 20 zł
8-entry pass 221 zł
12-entry pass 269 zł
16-entry pass 299 zł
OPEN pass 319 zł
Family pass (per person) 199 / 225 / 245 zł
Personal training agreed individually

Passes are valid for 30 days from purchase. You'll find the full list in the pass price list, and we described it in more detail in our article on boxing training prices in Szczecin.

Personal or group? Ideally both

For most people the most effective set-up looks like this: one-to-one sessions at the start or "as needed", with group sessions in between.

  • Personal gives you precision, error correction and a plan built around your goal.
  • Group gives you rhythm, partners for paired drills and a team atmosphere.

Adults at the club train in mixed-level groups — beginners alongside more experienced boxers, with the coach adjusting the load. Adult groups run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 18:30 and 20:00, Tuesday and Thursday at 19:00, plus an open group on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30. You can see the full plan in the training timetable.

How to book your first session

  1. Call or message — phone and WhatsApp: +48 579 118 191, e-mail: info@bksrocky.pl.
  2. Say why you're coming — technique from zero, fitness, weight loss, competition preparation. It helps match you with the right coach.
  3. Agree the date and the price — personal sessions take place by prior arrangement.
  4. Arrive 10 minutes early — comfortable kit, a change of shoes, water, a towel. You don't have to buy equipment before your first session — ask when you book what to start with.

Personal sessions are booked by the club's administrator. Once booked, the session appears in your schedule in the club app, Rocky Boxing Szczecin — it's on Google Play and the App Store; cancellations are also arranged with the administrator.

The club is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 21:00 and on Saturdays from 11:00 to 14:00. Address: ul. Jagiellońska 67, 70-382 Szczecin — the city centre, handy also if you're travelling in from the surrounding area.

If you'd rather get a feel for the gym first, book a free trial session in a group, and sort out the details of a one-to-one session with a coach on site — you'll find all the class formats in our training offer.

Frequently asked questions

How much does personal boxing training cost at BKS Rocky?

The price isn't listed in the price list — you'll find it out when you book. The quickest way to check is to call or message on WhatsApp: +48 579 118 191.

Is the first personal training session free too?

What's free is your first trial session at the club, which you book through the form on the website. The terms of a one-to-one session are agreed separately with the coach.

How many one-to-one sessions does a beginner need?

It depends on your goal and your starting fitness, but a few sessions are usually enough to get your stance, basic punches and movement solid enough to join a group comfortably. After that, many people come back for single sessions when they want to improve a specific element.

Can two of us do a personal training session together?

Ask about it when you book. In many clubs training as a pair works out cheaper per person, and the coach plans the pad work differently in that case.

Do I need my own gloves for a personal session?

You don't have to buy equipment before your first session — ask when you book what to start with. It's worth buying your own gloves and wraps once you decide to train regularly; you can choose the size with your coach.
